Facebook, the largest social media platform, has introduced a new feature that will allow users to view and delete data collected by third parties.
Facebook has provided this feature to its two billion users, a feature primarily introduced to improve user privacy.
Speaking in this regard, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has said that this feature will give users a new level of control and transparency on social networks.
According to Facebook, users will be able to see their data usage through the news feed. This feature is placed under the heading of Privacy Checkup which users can easily access.
Zuckerberg writes in his blog that other websites provide data about your activities to Facebook, according to which we show ads to users. The user will now have the option to view and delete this data.
Supposedly in the past few years, Facebook has faced a number of scandals regarding consumer privacy.
Facebook was accused of providing a British company after hijacking billions of users’ personal data for Donald Trump’s election campaign in 2016.
